‘Pathaan’ box office collection: Shah Rukh Khan starrer beats Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ with Rs 382 crore, emerges as the Highest grossing Hindi film – Times of India

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer ‘Pathaan’ has emerged as Highest grossing Hindi film at the domestic box office. The film has been minting big money and setting massive records!
On Saturday, the movie raked in Rs 22 crore nett, recording a growth of around 65-70 per cent. With this addition, the total business of ‘Pathaan stands at Rs 382 crore nett, which beats the record collection of ‘Dangal’ of Rs 374 crore nett, reports Boxofficeindia. Going by the present trend, ‘Pathaan’ is expected to cross the coveted 400 crore milestone on Sunday, which will again be a first for an original Hindi movie. In its second weekend, ‘Pathaan’ has raked in around Rs 35 crore nett and is expected to cross Rs 60 crore nett, which is the best post pandemic after ‘The Kashmir Files’ which had earned Rs 70 crore nett. ‘Pathaan’ has performed extremely well in Delhi / UP, West Bengal, Assam, Nizam / Andhra, Mysore and Kerala circuits.

Reacting to the humongous success of ‘Pathaan’, Deepika had previously shared, “To be honest, I don’t think we set out to break records. We set out to make a good film. This is what SRK taught me in my first movie. He told me you should work with people who make you happy. It’s such a lovely atmosphere to work in and that’s what the audience is taking back. It’s pure, love and joy and it reflects and that’s what the audience is taking back.”
