During the conversation, Rani recalled the time she was told her voice is ‘not good’.

Rani on dealing with criticism for her voice

Recalling her initial acting days, Rani told us, “I was also told that my voice is not good and we should dub your voice. I think as Sagarika believed in herself, I think I also believed in myself when I was 16-17 and it’s a difficult period to be able to believe in yourself because that is a time when as teenagers we are confused and we try to want to be accepted by one and all but through this interview I would like to tell all the youngers if they are watching this that please don’t listen to people, listen to your heart, listen to yourself, believe in yourself. And that is what I did when I was 16.”

Rani added, “For me, whether what people have told about me, whether my career is finished, whether its over or its restarting, it’s a coming back, its going, whatever they have said. For me, I have always believed in one thing that till the time I’ll be able to deliver a good performance and a good film to my audience, to my fans, they will always support me.”

The actress went on to add, “For me, that is most important. So, what people say about motherhood, about marriage, stands true for those people who don’t respect their audiences. In my case, I respect my audience too much because they have given me a lot more than I thought I would ever receive. So, for me, I think I should continue doing that as long as I am able to do that work sincerely and I work well.”

Talking about Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, Ashima Chibber directorial is slated to release on 17th March, 2023.
