BREAKING NEWS: Farhad Samji has replaced Anees Bazmee as director in ‘Hera Pheri 3’ – Exclusive – Times of India

A while ago, we broke the news to you about the quiet shoot of ‘Hera Pheri 3’ at Mumbai’s Empire Studio (owned by Firoz. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal have taken stage. An entertainment portal has said that they are not aware of the director yet. We at ETimes reiterate that Anees Bazmee is not directing ‘Hera Pheri 3’. It’s Farhad Samji, who broke away from Firoz’s cousin Sajid Nadiadwala in the Salman Khan starrer ‘Kisika Bhai Kisiki Jaan’. While Salman is very much still in that film and in fact decided to produce it apparently solo, Sajid Nadiadwala chose to take a step back. We had broken that story to you FIRST and EXCLUSIVE. How Anees Bazmee went out in ‘Hera Pheri 3’ is still not fully known. He had even said that unless he doesn’t say that Kartik Aaryan is doing the film, speculations should not be floated. Bazmee looked in the driver’s seat. Lekin Bollywood mein cheezen badalne mein palak jhapakne se jyaada time nahin lagta.
In the same story earlier where we told you that Farhad Samji will wield the megaphone for ‘Hera Pheri 3’, we also reported the other change that has happened- Akshay Kumar has returned to the fold. Akshay Kumar had categorically said that he had been approached for the role, but isn’t doing it. Instead, Kartik Aaryan was doing the film with Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. Now, Kartik Aaryan is not doing the film. Around the same time, Suniel Shetty had said that there had probably been some hera-pheri in casting but he was not aware how it all happened. He had even said that he is out of town but would look into it when he returns to Mumbai.

‘Hera Pheri 3’ was originally supposed to go on floors in October 2023. We had broken that news to you too FIRST and EXCLUSIVE. The motto of the film’s cast and crew surely now seems to be: Sooner, the better.

The female cast of ‘Hera Pheri 3’ is yet to be finalised.
